Charcoal today, colors tomorrow. Can’t believe the book’s almost finished!
This little vegetarian may have found a digital home! It was my first picturebook so I’m pretty siked about the whole thing. Funny that my only book created entirely sans computer is the one that could be an app. I feel bad for the animator already.
Holy smokes! I’m the May Featured Artist for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators! You can see my picturebook work on my site here or on the SCBWI site here. Thank you SCBWI!

Please reblog if you’re into it. : )
That’s all the work from the new one I can share for now. Back to my usual tumblr-ing!
…and then things got suurrruuusss.
You might have seen bits and pieces of this one. I draw each block of color separately and scan them in to get the natural textures. It’s kinda like print-making for lazy people.
Throughout the next week I’ll be posting work from my new picturebook concept, featuring the adventures of a little foul-mouthed bird. It was really blarking fun to make.
